With this TWN4 MultiTech 2 reader, secure print management can be implemented with an authentication solution that uses radio frequency identification (RFID) or Near Field Communication (NFC) or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technologies. Employees no longer need to enter passwords and PINs to release print jobs. Instead, they simply hold an RFID card or their smartphone in front of the RFID reader on the printer. This ensures that only authorized users can pick up the print job, so confidential information is protected.
It is also noted that RFID cards and mobile credentials are fortified against forgery and duplication, offering a leg up over traditional methods.
